about

My name is Sarah, and I am the self-proclaimed queen of uncommon combinations. Being an outgoing introvert and an analytical math nerd with a creative side, I’m used to not being what people expect.

I graduated from a small liberal-arts college where I studied mathematics with computer programming. After graduating, I pursued my passion for exercise science and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and worked as a college strength and conditioning coach. During this time, I started this blog to combine two of my interests: designing wordpress themes and writing about fitness topics. At this time, I was also navigating one of the most difficult experiences in my personal life, which I eventually shared on this blog. After the response I received on that post, I continued to write content bringing awareness to the issue surrounding sexual assault to help heal and encourage survivors and the people who support them.

Six years after starting this blog and almost everything in my life is different. I’ve transitioned into a new career, live in a new town, and have a new perspective on a lot of things, but one thing that hasn’t changed is my love of writing.
